Explore Shrewsbury's history & heritage

Every September places across the country throw open their doors to celebrate their heritage, community and history as part of Heritage Open Days. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all FREE.

This September 10th - 19th you can explore a host of historically significant Shrewsbury buildings; Town Walls Tower, St Mary's Church, Draper's Hall, Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings and The Greek Orthodox Church.
