Shrewsbury's best burgers

There are few things more satisfying than biting into a juicy burger. Whether you're veggie, vegan or a raving carnivore, you're sure to find a mouth-watering burger to tantalise your tastebuds in Shrewsbury.

The Beefy Boys

The newest burger on the block, The Beefy Boys arrived on the scene in 2021 with a bang! Born out of a shared love of good food, the friends behind the burger bar are passionate about local produce, using only 100% Hereford beef in their award-winning burgers. Whether you prefer your burger thick, smashed, Oklahoma or Animal style, their extensive menu is fully customisable. Veggies and vegans fear not - all of Beefy Boy's classic and speciality burgers are available meat-free, just ask to swap your patty for a bean burger, mac patty or truffled field mushroom.

Brooklyn Craft

Brooklyn Craft has become a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike thanks to their generous portions and secret seasoning mix. Each patty is handmade fresh every day, using traditionally reared, grass-fed prime beef. Char-grilled to perfection, each patty is then paired with fresh, premium vegetables and pickles to create their unique, American-inspired burgers. Make sure to check out their homage to Shrewsbury's favourite son, The Darwin Burger, a mouth-watering combination of chicken, beef, grilled-mushrooms, BBQ sauce and American cheese.

Csons

With their insanely tasty, globally inspired food, CSons is passionate about local produce. Their tantalising burgers are a constant element in their frequently updated seasonal menu. Each served on handmade milk buns, you can choose between their classic Longhorn beef CSons Burger with Moyden's 1665 cheese, their vegetarian and vegan-friendly Eden burger with masalaw slaw and aioli, or indulge with The Salopian, a double Shropshire Salumi chorizo patty with Ludlow blue. Customise your burger to perfection with extra patties, bacon, mushrooms and eggs.

Floro Lounge

One of Shrewsbury's newest additions, Floro Lounge is part of the incredibly popular national brand Loungers. A home-from-home, Floro Lounge offers delicious food and drink all day in the heart of Shrewsbury. With a broad menu, including separate gluten-free and vegan menus, Floro boasts 7 mouthwatering burgers. From the classic cheeseburger to chicken burgers, and the spicy Smokey Joe and Chicken Parmo burgers. Veggies and vegans aren't neglected with the additions of the Halloumi Burger, with hummus, flame-roasted peppers and chipotle chilli jam, and the Beyond Cheese Burger, with vegan smoked cheese and chipotle mayo.

Hickory's Smokehouse

The home of American food in Shrewsbury, Hickory's Smokehouse is fanatical about flames, smokers and all things BBQ. With views overlooking the River Severn, Hickory's boasts an impressive selection of burgers, all served with skin-on fries and their indulgent house slaw. Make sure to check out their belly-bursting Go Big Or Go Home Burger; three toasted buns, two prime-beef patties, a Southern fried chicken fillet, streaky bacon, pork collar, hash brown and more!

Okra

Shrewsbury's premier vegan street food eatery, Okra offers mouth-watering burritos, bowls, burgers and sides. With 4 tantalising burgers on offer you're spoilt for choice; The Classic, a black bean patty with fried onions and pickle, The Chippy T, a playful tofu take on fish and chips complete with salt'n'vinegar hash brown and katsu chippy curry sauce, The Mexican, a black bean patty with guacamole, salsa and chipotle mayo, and The Korean, a crispy tofu burger with house kimchi and Korean BBQ sauce.
